Venice Beach Skate Park Concept

Concept

This lithomosaic is a funky 90’s design originally created by RRM Design Group more than 20 years ago.

Bannister Family House Heart Fabrication

Fabrication

Amanda Elizabeth Mosaics fabricated the Venice logo with the help of TB Penick & Sons. Bright Mexican tiles were used by smashing large mosaic pieces called “tortillas” with hammers.

Installation

This 8’ tall, 32’ wide lithomosaic was installed over 10 years ago at the front entry of the Venice Skate Park – one of the most famous skate parks in the world. Installed by TB Penick & Sons. The mosaic has weathered the southern California sun, sand, salt spray, skateboarders and even movie trucks over the years and still looks beautiful, bright and funky today. Installed by TB Penick & Sons.
